Sage MIP Fund Accounting Overview

Jacobson Jarvis sells and services Sage MIP Fund Accounting software throughout the West, as well as in Alaska and Hawaii.

Sage MIP has been combined into a unified system providing more technical flexibility and customer options. Sage MIP is available in two different configurations:

Sage MIP enables nonprofit organizations and governmental agencies to easily track, manage and report on departments, programs, grants, contract and projects, across any time period, without regard to the organization’s fiscal year. The system features a table-driven chart of accounts that can be customized to fit the unique recording and reporting needs of virtually any nonprofit organization. The intuitive Windows interface makes learning and using the system easy.

Wizards and other tools simplify the process of setting up and maintaining the chart of accounts. Jacobson Jarvis consultants help you maximize your reporting power by assisting in the custom design of your chart of accounts.

Created from the ground up specifically for the complex reporting requirements of nonprofits, the Sage MIP includes a wide variety of FASB and GASB-compliant reports and financial statements. In addition to pre-formatted reports, you can create any financial statement format you need to meet specific reporting requirements of funding sources, auditors, management and board members. Donor restrictions on resources and net assets are easily tracked and reported across multiple fiscal years.

The developers of Sage MIP understand that more than half the time spent in an accounting system is doing data entry. Transaction entry in Sage MIP is simple and efficient. Special function keys, distribution codes, account entry controls, memorized transactions and automatic offset and interfund balancing entries are just a few of the many timesaving options. Transactions are balanced across funds and posting dates during transaction entry to insure data integrity from the outset.

Sage MIP is a fully integrated system that may be used with other third-party products, including donor tracking and fundraising software.
